i got some sad news today when i logged onto myspace. it looks like one of our favorite los angeles vegan restaurants, doomie’s home cookin’, is closed until further notice. they alerted us via their myspace blog, and i for one am very upset about this.
let’s hope this closure is due to something really trivial, and doomie’s will be up and running again in no time. until then, i will just keep craving their tap beer and vegan BLT.

NOOO!!! I tried to go yesterday (obviously did not see this prior) and couldn’t because the festivities going on downtown prevented me from even finding parking. That was bad enough, now I find it is closed????

My wife and I went yesterday for the first time, only to find a locked door. In the brief time we were outside, three others showed up to disappointment. We went to Shojin instead. Ah well.

What sucks most about Doomies being shut down this weekend is thinking about just how much money they would have made today (with the Chinese New Years events going on) had they been open. Would have been a nice spot to watch it all from too
