GUYS! vegan pizza day was crazy. thousands of people around the world joined together and did something really important: they ate vegan pizza. i’d like to thank all the restaurants who participated by offering discounts, all the bloggers and tweeters who helped spread the word about the event, and all the people who made it happen by eating vegan pizza. and an extra huge thanks to chicago vegan foods for dreaming up this magical holiday. i’m still full and i’m already looking forward to next year.

YES!! sizzle pie in portland, one of my favorite pizzerias ever, is offering 2 for one vegan slices for brunch today in honor of vegan pizza day. get there between 11am and 4pm and fill up on some of the best slices of pizza you’ll ever eat. they’re huge and thin—the kind of slices that you can fold in half—-oh god why can’t i be in portland right now? my personal favorite is the spiral tap (pictured above to the left), so if you see that, get it!
m cafe (melrose location only) will be offering 3 special vegan pizzas after 2pm on saturday JUST FOR VEGAN PIZZA DAY and i want to eat them all!! pictured above is just plain old vegan cheese because that’s what i ate last time i went to m cafe (AND IT WAS AWESOME) but on saturday they will be offering these amazing combos:
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. pizzanista in downtown LA is offering an extra special pizza on saturday for vegan pizza day, and it needs to be worshipped! it’s a vegan version of their popular “meat jesus” pizza, so naturally this one is called the “seitan meats jesus”. it comes with daiya cheese and 3 different kinds of upton’s seitan: italian sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. AMEN TO THAT. go eat it.
PS: upton’s seitan products really are the best, and i don’t know of any other restaurant that uses them in LA. just another reason to go nom on this pizza, as if you needed one!
yayayaya! adama vegan comfort cuisine in santa barbara is jumping on the vegan pizza day ship this saturday (tomorrow!). they’ll be serving a mozzarella with marinara pie, mushroom with pesto pie, and gluten-free pizza by the slice!
i’ve been meaning to check out adama forever. they’re the only vegan restaurant in santa barbara, and everything on their menu looks delicious!
staying home on vegan pizza day and don’t feel like cooking?
ms cupcake in london will be celebrating vegan pizza day with freshly baked pizzas and pizza puffs (pictured above) at her shop on saturday! ms cupcake makes some of the best sweet treats i’ve ever tasted, so i’m dying to try her savory creations! definitely stop by if you’re in town.
susan feniger’s STREET in hollywood will be celebrating vegan pizza day tomorrow with the following special menu items: date, caramelized onion and watercress pizza; squash blossom and green olive tapenade pizza; homemade soyrizo, roasted poblano chiles and corn pizza!
i haven’t been to STREET in ages, but i was blown away by their food last time i was there and i hear the vegan options keep getting better and better. check ‘em out if you’re in the mood for inventive pizza that’s a bit more fancy than the normal stuff.
YOU GUYS, THIS IS HUGE! zpizza is participating in vegan pizza day! on saturday june 30th, they’ll be serving up their famous berkely vegan pizza by the SLICE! they don’t normally offer vegan slices, so this is super exciting.
zpizza has locations all over the country, so there’s probably one near you!
UPDATE: zpizza will also be celebrating vegan pizza day with slices from 11am-2pm and 5pm-7pm. they have way too many locations to add to the map, but you can find them here.

you heard me right: vegan stuffed crust at pizza pi! the all vegan seattle pizzeria is offering to stuff your crust full of teese at no additional charge on saturday june 30th in honor of vegan pizza day. if that’s a bit too decadent for you, feel free to grab a topping of your choice for free. DUDE. I HAVE NEVER HAD VEGAN STUFFED CRUST PIZZA. i have been dying to try it ever since that vegansaurus post. seattle, get on this.
